Plastic forms designer and inventor Rodolphe Barsikian is a contemporary artist: his preferred techniques are the computer, the computer mouse and graphic design applications. As an adept at vectoral drawing, point-based digital graphic, line and geometric organization, his compositions combine the “clear line” of technical drawing and an abundant power of aesthetic invention.
Above all abstract, declined in tables or modular 3D layouts, his creations are at the same time controlled, chiseled to the extreme, but also eruptive, marked by an implicit fascination with disorder, disorganization, making them play.
For Rodolphe Barsikian creating involves going beyond the mere plastic effects, and inscribing his life in lines, in redoubling graphic trajectories, in the visual material of signs, an existential path. His compositions generate the strong and compulsive image of a moving existence for which the exercise of drawing represents the heartbeat, the seismograph, this way recording each instinctual moment, each vibration, each sensation.
